Students that want to gain practical experience in the railroad industry over summer break have a great opportunity to do so at Via Rail. Our interns work assignments are intended to be related to their major and are developed to provide a full range of experience from design to construction. Via Rail offers a variety of challenging assignments and competitive compensation. We match our intern students with design engineers to work closely on all aspects of our projects. They in turn receive quality supervision to strengthen their railroad engineering knowledge, experience and skills. While employed by Via Rail, students are also given the opportunity to visit railroad project sites during various phases of construction.
